Clock

A clock is a time indicator instruments. It is very useful in our life. It is kept on the wall of the house. It measures our life. It may be made of steel or rubber frame. It has two pointers-one is for minute & the other for hour. The bigger is for pointing minutes & the smaller for pointing hours. It has also another pointer for pointing second. It ticks & ticks without any break. If it stops, the whole thing is at a standstill. A clock is most useful for a student. It helps us to know the time. A clock may have an alarm. If we fix it to some point, it can produce an alarm sound. Then it can remind us of our work. Clocks are of different sizes-some are round & some are of rectangular shape. Some look very attractive. They can add to the beauty of a room. But their function is more important.

Street Beggar

A street beggar is a person who begs to keep body & soul together. In our country (Bangladesh) a street beggar is a common figure. He is found here, there & everywhere on the street. Specially, a street beggar is seen at the joint of two or more roads. He begs for money from the passers-by. He is a poor person who has a miserable look in his eyes. He puts on dirty & torn cloths with patches here & there. Sometimes he is found without any shirt. His hair is un-brushed & without oil. So the hair above his head looks like the nest of a sparrow. A street beggar may be able-bodied, blind, lame & crippled. He has a begging bowl or bag in his hand. When a passer-by walks past him he stretches his begging bowl with a piteous appeal to give him alms. He utters blessing to the person who gives him alms. The life of a street beggar is very hard. Truthfulness

Truthfulness is a quality of a human being. It’s a great virtue. The habit of speaking the truth is called truthfulness. Everybody respects a truthful person. A truthful individual is like a star in our society. Nowadays it is a rare quality. Truthfulness depends on firmness, sincerity & honesty of one’s character. Lying is the opposite of truthfulness. Everyone hates a liar. Truthfulness may not make us rich but it brings peace of mind. On the other hand, a liar may succeed for a short time by his dishonesty. She has no peace of mind. She can’t speak anything boldly. A liar is always timid. A Truthful man is bold & speak fearlessly. She is not afraid of anyone. She can speak against corruption & injustice strongly. If a lie is told she feels uneasy. Her mind becomes restless. She tries to reveal the truth. A truthful person becomes happy only when truth is established in the society. Everybody should try to acquire the quality of truthfulness.
