Jute is a kind of fiber. It grows in a large quantity in Bangladesh. It also grows West Bengal, India, Thailand, China & Philippines. Jute grows well in low land. Farmers plough land from March to April. Then the seeds are sown. When the plants grow one feet or so high, the fields are weeded. After three or four months, the plants are cut down & put into water to rot. Then the fiber is taken off & is washed & dried in the sun. Thus it is ready for sale. Jute is very useful to us. Ropes, gunny bags, papers & fine silken clothes are made from jute. Jute has great economic value. Many country get much money by selling jute of different countries of the world.
